Keep your mind at ease and follow these BBQ Safety tips:

  1. Have your barbecue inspected every year.
  2. Clean your barbecue and remove food debris from bottom every 3 months.
  3. Check hoses and connections for gas leaks with soap and water and to look for bubbling.
  4. Inspect burners and tubes for cracks and blockages.
  5. Check and clean grease pans on a regular basis.
  6. Keep a fire extinguisher handy.
  7. Always start your barbecue with the hood open and in a well-ventilated area.
